This year all the students of ESO watch the news every week.
They watch “One- minute World News” on BBC. The aim of this activity is to
improve their listening skills and to learn about what is going on in the world. But, what
do the students think about it? Let’s see their opinions.

English is something fundamental to our futre.The best way to learn english is to listening english. When we see the news we learn it, and we learn about current events happening around us. The school is doing everything possible to get a good level of english in students. Between the girls or boys coming every year from England and the BBC news, I thing we will do a good progress in listening and speaking.

I like listen the BBC world news because I think that the listenings are very important. If every week we do listenings, I think we are going to get a good English level. The first day that we listen the BBC news, for me it was difficult but I think at the end of the course we will understand it. Well I think that listen the news in class is really interesting because it's other way to know what happens in the world and in the same time we're learning english. I think that now I understand more than in semptember, when we do it for first time. I think that it's a great idea!

I think that listening the BBC News in class, we are informated about the world's news and we can practise our ensglish because the BBC is a british television and they spoke english very well.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, this activity is good for us because we can listen real English (pronunciation, accent...) and at the same time we know about the news of our world. The first time it's difficult but if you listen often BBC news you will understand and learn English a lot with these simple activity.
I think that this activity of listen the BBC news every week it's OK, because we know what happens in the world and we can pay attention to the English pronunciation. Sometimes, I don't understand almost nothing, but at the second time, with the images, I can understand it.
